Couple of questions about the C4S

I am going to be in the market for a C4S this summer and have a few questions. One of the first mods I'd like to start working on is giving the car a slightly more aggressive appearance.

I've read that the C4S has the same body as the Turbo (minus the fender vents). When looking at body kits, lips and other external body parts, would I be looking at the Turbo kits or the Carrera (when broken down on vendor sites by model)?

Next, what are the specs on the wheels? Bolt pattern and spacing, offset, ect.

Finally, will a baby car seat actually fit in the rear seat in an emergency? I've got an Armada to haul the family around in, but if push came to shove, could I use the Pcar to move 2 small kids and a baby around?

The front of the C4S is the same as the turbo for body kits but the rear deck is C4S specific. Depending on the baby seat you choose you can fit three children in but I hope you are not planning to take them any further than the closest Micki D's playground!

Thanks for the quick reply Steve. Would the side skirts and rear bumber be the same as the turbo or would it be C4S specific as well?

I'd only need to put 3 kids in there under the worst emergency. Any time I'd be watching all three, mom would take the C4S and leave me the Armada.

Bolt patterns are all the same on 996 and 997. Wheel offsets will be different depending on widebody or narrowbody configuration. If you use spacers to get a narrowbody wheel to fit a widebody you'll need longer lug bolts unless the spacer already has pressed in bolts (e.g., the Porsche 17mm spacer).

Thanks jhbrennan. Since I live in CO, it'll be a C4S or nothing. That means I'm looking at the widebody. I'd only go spacers if I had too. Do you know the bolt pattern specs?

Here's a nice post on rennlist for babyseat. I've got a 5 year in a booster (no back) seat.

Because of the light bar under the rear deck, only specific C4S spoilers will work.

You'll love the car.
