Soft top to Hardtop
Soft top to Hardtop
We just bought a 2000 911 Cab with no hardtop, which think would be pretty handy if you lived in Il. It appears the hardware hook up would match with out a problem, but what about electrical safety interlocks?
Anybody have anybody have any experiance with this?

I love the hardtop for my 2000 cab in the winter. In 2000 hardtops were "standard" equipment on cabs and hardtop delete was an option (you got about $1,500 off). Do you know if your car originally had one? Lots of cars did and the owners got rid of them. If so it has all the hardware and electrics (which is only the rear defroster) in place. If it had the delete option ten it might not have all the hardware and electric. Do you have a defroster switch on the dash? If so you probably have the electrics. Also, look under the caps on the cloth cover in back to see if the hardware is there. You can find tips on Ebay all the time.
Thanks for the help Dharn. So I went out this morning to check out this new info. and now the key will not turn in the ingnition. We drove this car the day before and parked it in the garage as normal. What could I have done to cause this? Thanks for any help.
