Double Din Install Euro Motorspeed

Hi guys,
I have an 02 911 Carrera 2 with a single din stock stereo. I bought an Alpine W505 and bought the Euro Motorspeed Install kit. The kit did not come with instructions and I'm having a hell of a time trying to get the cage mounted. There doesn't seem to be any mounting points to the car, the unit seems to sit on a metal beam which is provided and lean on the faceplate. Seems way too flimsy. Anyone have any ideas or have used this kit before? Anyone have an DIYs? or pictures of the inside?

This is the Kit

There should be four screw holes in the back of the opening. I used those to mount my mini PC "plates".

You may need to run some supports from your kit to those points for support.

Did you just pick points at random? Did you have to drill into the stock center dash mount (the plastic frame with the cupholder?

The OP has an 02 911 C2. The product you posted only works for Carrera's 2009+.

Hey 92tsiawd,

I have a 996 with the Alpine IVA-W505/P1 installed on my in-dash. I actually got it done professionally. Done really professionally, works flawlessly. I'll post the picture when I get a chance!

I was wondering if you got the chance to solve our issues on how to load a .apn custom opening wallpaper on a Alpine W502R unit?
I have received two files (opening.apn, VUP_INFO.CDR) from Alpine Belgium but when I put the disc in the headunit, it gives a disc error.
And if I try to choose the Data Download, the arrows dont let me change, and USERs dont change either.
If you could, your help will be appreciated greatly!
Please pm or email me!
Cheers!
