LWFW installed!

I've been meaning to post this for a while now. I got my LWFW installed a couple weeks ago and I can honestly say I'm impressed with the results.

Firstly, I would like to thank Tom and the guys at TPC for doing the install. They gave me a better deal than any other mechanic I contacted and they were very honest and up front with me. No problems with my install either. IN FACT, they corrected a problem a previous mechanic had made when reassembling parts of the rear suspension.

Now in terms of the performance. I'd be lying if I said the difference was ridiculous, but is it most certainly noticeable. First gear is now even more short lived when I'm feeling the need to test my accelerator. Acceleration in general is improved. I do get a little clutch chatter from time to time, but the guys at TPC tried to minimize it with synthetic oils. There's a little noise when I accelerate at low rpm's, but thankfully the wife-to-be hasn't noticed that when she's been in the car (she's still too embarassed by the muffler-delete pipes).

Overall, I strongly recommend this to anyone toying with the idea. And thanks again to the guys at TPC (sorry it took me so long to get this posted!)

John

light-weight flywheel. Don't worry, took me a second the first time I read that too.

Thanks,I just learned something.I think I read somewhere, people were complaining about cars equipped with light weight and GT3 flywheels would intermittently die when idling. Has anyone experienced that?

John, I'm glad to hear that you are happy with the results. You too are a confirmed modaholic.

Terry, I expected idle problems...I have not experienced any.

IMHO LWFW is one of the best mods on the 996...a tie with the PSS9/10 for overall add to enjoyment of the car
