Motor Meister Inc

I sent in my motor and tranny for a rebuild. After reading all the posts on this company's horrible work I want to get my motor back. They have switched my heads for some junk cracked ones. Can someone PM a person that could help resolve this issue. I am located in San Diego. Any help would be appreciated.

I would read the other Porsche websites as there are literally thousands of posts about MM, the issues, and how they were resolved.

Wow, I just read some stuff about MM and I am sorry for your situation. I don't know how these guys can stay in business. They are absolute fraud artists. If nothing else works, you might have to file a case against them. I'm sure they will settle rather than trying to go to court for something like this.

I agree with my996. Considering how much a rebuild is (around 6k from them), it might be in your best interest talk to a lawyer asap, explain the situation and have the lawyer contact them NOW. It is very different having a "civilian" calling and complaining than talking to a lawyer or responding to a lawyer letter. People do react well to it because it means a) that you are serious and b) it is going to cost them money.

You might be able to go to arbitration as the moneys at stake are within the limits (if you do not go for damages).

A lawyer might set you back a few hundreds for making the initial contact but consider that otherwise you are going to loose the value of the engine, the cost of the repair, and the cost of doing it right. Not a good deal.

I am rebuilding my engine in South Orange County not very far from San Diego, for a very reasonable price. This might be a next step for you as soon as you get your engine back.

Move fast. Good luck.

Get your motor out of there, whatever the state. Even if you must pay for the time they spent taking it apart, if not finished.

many years ago, i researched MM. It seems they have not improved.

I did find a nice race prep shop up near Mira Mesa airport. Nice young guys who really know alot. Forgot the name though.

best of luck
