Are these just cameras located randomly? What about all the street views where it had to have been a tripod or car with a mounted camera for 360 views? I remember looking at my area going damn did they have a car just drive up and down every street

 

the google earth camera car passed by us and it took months for the pictures to get on the system...then months for me to find it...I used this program to actually find the car :
