Angry 996 hard to get it into 1st gear

So this afternoon I sit in my car, start it up and right away feel something different. As I place my foot on the clutch I notice that I can feel the engine idle through the pedal, weird! I disengage the clutch and proceed to slide the shifter into first and I'm feeling a hard stop, I push harder and it pops in, weird! Same problem with 2nd gear. Finally get home and while idling in the garage, I slide it back into first and I notice the car start to creep forward even with the clutch fully disengaged. WHAT IS HAPPENING?.?.? Please help.

Mileage would be helpful. My best guess would be a worn or deformed clutch disc with a defective throw out bearing as a close second. Nonetheless, something is going on under the bell housing, and you may be due a complete clutch kit. Good luck.

You have reached the threshold. It's time for a new clutch kit. Good luck.

If this is your first change of the clutch, then it's lasted pretty well.

I have used Santa Monica Autoworks for several years. Great guys. I've only had them do brakes on my pcar, but I've had them do a bunch of work on my other european cars. Very honest and reliable
