Parkcity911 is infamous around these parts
Happened again, only worse

I took the 270 degree off / on ramp onto I 80 fast again yesterday. The car was warmed up to at least 180 deg. With no one in front of me about 3/4 of the way through the ramp turn I punched it and noticed in the side mirror quite a lot of smoke on even before my shift from 2 to 3 and 4. For about a minute I smelled burning oil and then it was gone. I exited and did a redline run up to 4th gear again / no issues.

Can anyone tell me what this big G force turn might be doing and why the oil smell? I'm not overfilled: 1 bar below or at full on the elect meter and just below the full line on the dipstick. Has anyone ran into this issue on a tight track corner. It was the biggest puffs of smoke yet on this turn I take daily.

Thanks for any insight into this issue.

Extended Hard right turn, oil sloshes towards AOS & overloads it enough to suck in more oil than it can seperate & return to crankcase so oil gets sucked into intake. This is why I run my engine a quart low.

I think there is also the X51 oil pan you can run which has baffels.

I knew I could count on you guys! Okay, so no more super hard right 270's on that ramp I guess....until I fix the issue. I wonder if that happens to many guys on the track? I guess not 270 deg though. I had heard of oil starvation issues at the track, which is perhaps the exact opposite. Sloshes the oil away from the uptake enough to suck in air. Thanks again for the knowledge base!

Dealerships won't let you buy this anymore unless you can prove you have a car with an X51 VIN.

But there are aftermarket options...

Cheers

Have you tried taking this corner at the speed limit and looked for the smoke? If you have and didn't see smoke I'd say yeah probably sloshing, if not then is this the only time your really paying attention to see if it is blowing smoke? The reason I ask is because maybe the car is blowing smoke more then you have realized and it is a different issue then the sloshing?

"Extended hard right turns..." are not usually talking about highway on ramps. I've never had smoke even when drifting through turns at AutoCross events or on the track. Check for another issue.
