If you've done a vinyl wrap on your 911 please let me know how it has held up

I drive my Glacier White 996 every day. It's got a chipped up front bumper and bottom half of the hood and its getting worse. I'm thinking of having it completely wrapped in matte white. Here are my questions.

I know that my drive on the highway to work here in the rock capital of the world Arizona is going to continue to cause chips.

Will the vinyl be more resistant to chipping?

Did you have the door openings wrapped?

Should the bumpers be removed and done off the car?

Is your car a daily driver?

How is it holding up?

How much did it cost you?

Thanks in advance, Rob

Hi
your white 996 looks very nice to me...but you need to change those small exhaust pipes to bigger ones !! that would make you Pcar look much better from the back.
Just my two Cents !!!

Smile A little more

Still working on it, but here are some other shots that may help show the wing if your interested. There is many wings like this on EBAY.. Car is lowered so has a nice stance and sits on 19" rims.... yes does make the ride a little harder but I think its worth it when a 14 year old car still turns heads...

A buddy sprayed them for me and charged me $25. He did both bottoms of the rock texture that runs down both sides of the car and charged me $50 for that.

I own a graphic/print shop and can answer most of these questions as we have wrapped many cars.

Vinyl can chip or ding like paint with age (as it gets more brittle with age), but it will protect the painted surface of the car like a clear bra etc. Most of these films (3M, Avery etc) have a 5+ year warranty on their products and are about 3mils thick. A vinyl wrap isn't like a paint job, so expect to have a few areas where vinyl can start to peel up with age. But overall they hold up very well.

Bumpers do not need to be removed, however the front headlights and rear taillights being removed is a good idea. (Same with the front hood emblem and mirrors). We take these off the vehicle before a wrap.

For a full seamless wrap with premium wrap films we charge around 2,500-3,500 depending on the vehicle.
