evo SC vs. tpc SC
Ditto on the air cleaner ease of service. I will say that placing the air cleaner in front and side of the engine may improve the cool air intake on the Evo SC. I take it the water intercooler tubing is coming in on the left as opposed to the right on the Evo. Also the water fill resivoir is on the right as well on Evo. I would think the wear on the engine would be more with TPC because of low end boost because with the Evo there is essentially no boost with normal low speed driving, much like a Turbo. Again only time will tell. Will
damn ron, that's moving. nice numbers.
FA fabricated a housing to deflect the hot air from the intake. According to him, dyno results showed that it made no significant difference.

Which track was this at and what was your 1/4 mile trap speed!? Thanks! That's an awesome time*** PS-2 are street radials right ?Everything else put aside I KNOW an EVO SC'ed 3.4 isn't running THOSE E.T.s!

Are we saying that a TPC C2 is within a couple of tenths of a Carrera GT? The car would need to be putting way over 500 HP to get anywhere close to that.

Sounds like the TPC kit is pretty damn good, why does TPC seem to get bad press, just evo propaganda?

BTW, does the TPC change out the fuel injectors like evo? i wish TPC would include a list of components on their site
i don't think they change their injectors, just the air fuel ratios. probalby not necessary if there are no lean conditions present when they mapped and dyno'd them.
i don't know if they race their SC cars or not, but they do campaign some cars for sure. they are gone most weekends racing. they'll tell you themselves that they don't have time to advertise and hang out on the forums cause they are too busy prepping and racing

i wonder if the evo kit needs the uprated injectors then, hmmm.....
still looks like a good system but it sucks that you have to send in your car for install.
actually you don't have to send your car in to TPC. it's a pretty simple install. Anybody with any experience SCing should have no problem with this install. The software is done and it's a straight bolt on. i think i may use a local tuner in Tampa for my install (C2 Design). He does a ton of SC work, mostly bmw's and mercedes. He recently did a 996 RUF kit though. Well, his shop made the sale, but RUF flew somone in to do the kit. I would just look for someone competent and you should be fine. As long as the kit is sound, your installer should have no problems at all.
