Serious electrical problem. Huge battery drain parked

If I don't pull the 7.5 amp fuse for the radio circuit a fully charged new oe Porsche battery will drain down to 0 volts within 2-3 days not being used.
The immobilizer and ecu was pulled and sent out for test. Both tested good.
All 5 wired switches work.
was told problem is somewhere else .
I work on vehicles of all sorts since I was 11 and I'm 68 now. I purchased 996 repair manual on line at first.
got me stumped. Car is worthless as is at 45k miles.Purchased car at Barrett Jackson auction 6/18. Was listed as having no known problems. Car had to be jumped by service crew and had to have gas added to it when I picked it up! Boy did I get screwed. Could not flip it. Got stuck with it.
Any ideas?

I wouldn't throw in the towel over a battery drain issue. Pretty minor compared to the "real" problem that occur with these cars.

Parasitic battery drain is not totally uncommon with these cars. Tell us more about the car - what year? what radio system? CDR-220, CDR-23, PCM??? Frunk amp?

Does it have the amplifier in the frunk? Are we talking about the double DIN PCM radio or single DIN. What's the model number of radio?

By the process of elimination, I would rule out the radio and amp.

1. reconnect the fuse
2. Disconnect the radio and amp
3. check battery drain with a multimeter

If it's still pulling current, then you know it's something else in the mix.

Agreed. Eliminate the radio, amp, and CD changer as possible causes first. The radio has a wire to turn on the amp. Since you don't know the history, it's possible that someone messed around with the set up and the amp and/or changer is always powered on. That's where I would start.

Have you located the source of parasitic power drain?

Right now there are other stuff that make it undrivable, so I have not started on that issue. Cracked rim, transmission problems, ignition switch, etc.
I am following this thread and will update when I get to that point.

TBH this isn't the only car I got at Barrett Jackson that was a turd. Two more I have are equally if not more dysfunctional. I don't see how they can still be around letting people burn buyers like this.

Auto auctions (and maybe Carmax) are the worst places to buy these kinds of cars, IMHO. Why is that? Lots of dealers dump their lemons on auctions and pass the problems onto the buyers. Most of the auctions don't let you conduct a thorough inspection. In many auctions, you can't even get in the car and start it. Unless you have a skilled set of mechanics/techs on hand, I wouldn't advise going to an auction to buy Porsches. I would rather buy them on craigslist from the owners.

Ignition switches are known to cause all sorts of weird electrical issues with these cars. That might be a good place to start. (no pun intended)

Hahahaha.. Yes I read that as well. It is on the list.
As far as buying from the auction, it is Barrett Jackson, so its not like we are going down the street to the local used car auction. You expect there to be some type of level of quality. Buyer beware!
