I scored on the last new ILB E46 Competition M3's on the planet.
I love the styling and I hate the new 3 series.

 

And thats your opinion and I will respect that, we have different taste. All I am saying is the M3 is no means a downgrade to the car in question. I honestly know that a Porsche does hold more Prestige than a BMW, but it depends which models were talking about. Yes if you told a girl you drove a porsche, the gold digger would probably hop on you faster then she would hop on me, driving more expensive cheap 02 Acura NSX.

All in all, I respect all porsches, even the Boxster, they actually are a blast to drive.

 

I totally agree with you 100 percent, the new BMWs are fat and ugly. What I meant is the older ones, I have a e36 evo and a e46, I am looking for a e30 evo m3 convertible.

The new M5's look odd, I think the e46 and e39 will go down as classics, just like how the e34 and e30s have.

Actually used ZCP's are more than this one..around 60K.
I have a buddy who is the manager of the dealership.
Mine was 56K becuase of no sunroof, bi-xenon or power seats.
The time I got the car there was only 2 NEW ILB ZCP M3's left in the country.
They are NOT giving deals on the remaining ZCP's and the new uglyass M comes out in 08.
I got it for 51K...my guy hooked me up..

They bought my GT3 and I was dealing with the used car guys, checking on another carbon black ZCP.
During the drive we were in service talking about the messed up paint on the used M3 comp..
I saw this car sitting there just delivered, walked over, took one look and said, I want this one! much to the dismay of the used car salesguy.

 

Little things like this set the M3 apart from a normal 3 series..

 

Wow that was a sweet deal! The ILB looks way better than the Carbon Black, thats for sure.

Honestly man, i repsect what you said about the Boxster. they are a blast to drive and not many people realize it and are unwilling to give it credit for what it is. they are great car with handling capabilies that few cars can match. i think if we had an autobahn in the US people would really know what the Boxster and Boxster S can really do!

I had an '01 M3 and thought it was a great car. I made a mistake and sold the car to get a C6 Vette that I kept for 14 months. I now drive a Porsche CaymanS and it is the best handling car I have ever been in. I didn't come on here to knock the M3. I still think it is a great car. I just think the Porsche line is better with more styling and a better fit/finish (although the shifter in my M3 was the absolute best I have ever experienced....like a hot knife through butter). As far as performace goes, in a straight line race it would all come down to the driver. On a road course, the Porsche will eat it's lunch.

 

GT3 is an M3, but x50 in every way

Cant wait to get another M3 as my daily/track runner, M3 with full suspension work, wheels, brake kit , short shift kit and gears are perfecto, most fun ive had in a car thus far!

BTW interlago's fully washed and waxed is the most amazing color, it looks like liquid everytime and in eveyr pic, its awesome..

PS, sometimes i miss my m3 and everyone said im crazy, as in performance per drivability 996tt is hands down the winner!
