I've been noticing a lot of M3 hating from certain people on this board. And I think you guys with the pre 02 c2s are in some major denial. In my personal opinion, stock for stock, the m3 looks way better then the 99-01 looking boxster carreras. I had a choice to get either, and I picked an M3, all day, everyday. Please keep it real, and from another thread about a c4 cab beating a m3, come on, are you for real?

 

LOL! M3 looking better than a Carrera, give me a break. i(along with most) will tell you while the m3 is a good looking car, the Carrera's are phenomenal looking, better any time, any day and year better looking than the m3. that is your oppinion and you are entitled to it. you happen to be in the minority on that one though.

I agree. An M3 looks just like any other 3 series bimmer to 99% of the gen'l population. I can just imagine what Bangle has done to the new M3

 

I completely agree with you! To 99.99% of the populations, its a 3 series or to more well versed, a 3 series with a body kit. it will never look as good as a 911. i think bangle has wrecked what used to be nice looking cars.

 

Im a Porsche guy at heart, but also an M3 guy at heart too. I think the M3 is GORGEOUSSSSSSSSSS, the muscular, jagged lines, more pronounced fender flares and wide hips, my goodness i cant wait to get another.

Your wrong, E46 M3 will be timeless, just like the 993tt, i can guarentee the 996 will not be looked upon as being "timeless" looking And only a moron would think its a 3 series with a body kit, common man, i can say 100 different things about 911's and so on, especially base Carrera's but i dont, because i appreciate them, just like i do M3's. Let's stop this bs man, why do youg uys hate on BMW's so much, especially M3's!!!

 

Martin man, you know i like m3s too! after all, i was talking with you for a week or two when I was looking buy one. i am no moron, as I dont think its a 3 series with a body kit, but sadly, most people dont know the difference between it and a 325ci. the e46 m3 will prob go down as the best m3 because the new one is just not a looker like the e46 to say the least. i do happen to feel as good looking a car as it is, a Carrera is STILL the better looking car.

 

maybe you should keep it real. no one every said that the m3 was a bad car so i'm not sure where you are coming from with the "HATER" remark. pretty much everyone said that the m3 is an excellent car. don't even comment on looks cuz that's just and objective opinion.

 

A C2 to a faster car is not a downgrade..
Really the decision should be around a lifestyle change, do you need more space ect ect.
C2's are NOTHING special..
MY M3 handles almost as good as my GT3 in different ways.
No more nose float and it rides on rails.

Seriously, I don't think there are M3 haters here, everyone loves them, but you are in a biased section of the forum, you'll notice the "996 Current model naturally aspirated Porsche 911 community" at the top of your screen. I suspect the equivalent M3 forum would be full of "hate" stories about C2's.

I have two buddies with M3's, fabulous machines, but I'm in some "serious denial" because me pre-02 C2 gets more attention than their M3's.

 

The attention C2's get are..Hey why did that guy not get a turbo? is he poor?

 

that's the lamest thing i've every heard. it should be, the guy got an m3.. guess he couldn't afford a porsche.
