not a turbo (+5 ghetto points for N/A)
no S/C package (+3 ghetto points)
no VTEC (+10 ghetto points)

Where did I say that? The Carreras are enrty leval Porsches.
The M3 is a race bred 3 series.
Both are great cars..
What I have been reading is a bunch of 996 guys thinking the Carrera is something better than a M3 and it is surley NOT.
I bet there were more Carreras built than M3's in the last 6 years.

 

I agree. I was in the market for an m3, but felt that in all aspects the car i already had(C4) was better in ALL aspect(especially the m3 cab, that was just a car that was a bore to me). I was going to add the m3 but didnt feel it was ANYTHING special. a great car, yes, but where i am, they are a more like a penny a dozen. my C4 turns heads, pretty much every time im out in it someone shouts, and little kids ALWAYS yell out "thats a super hot car". and these are like 10 year olds. they would never do that for an m3, thats for sure. im not saying it bad, its a great coupe for 60K, just not impressed as much as some people are by it.

 

If you guys are buying cars to turn heads you are straight up poseurs. Thats my opinion, I am sticking to it.
Now, my ILB Comp M3 gets more looks than my GT3 did.
Thats the truth.
Old Milfs and Gery haired men looked at My GT3.
Now I have every teen queen in town looking at me. it's awesome..lol
the one downside is that ever raceboy in a STi try to race me..
Different than every clown in a C6 with the GT3.
I liked racing the Vettes, beating a Sti is pretty weak.

no actually i am forming my opinion from the m3 threads i referenced to earlier. those opinions were very level headed and without emotion

 

i too am skeptical about a c4 cab beating an M3. both are the close in weight (~3400lbs) but the c4 is down on power.

 

Alright guys, look I am a huge 996 fan and just know that.
Some of the last pages I read got me a little twisted, I did not read the whole thread.
The thing is no matter what car you get, make sure it fits what you want.
No matter what car you get, someone will have something faster.
No matter what car you get someone will always talk **** about it.
Just be happy with what you have.
