Steering Wheels swap

Just ordered the GT3RS's steering wheel and will need to replace the stock wheel when it arrives. And will post my experience with it soon. But can anyone point me to the instructions on how to remove the stock steering wheel? I've been told it is fairly easy and been told I should take it to the dealership since it involves the air bag. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

It is a DIY. Just disconnect the battery so as to not set a airbag code. And just excersize caution and common sence and you should be good to go!

I have a set of instructions. Shoot me an email and I will send them to you. FYI - the Torx bolts are a b**** to get off. I think they were tightened by a gorilla!

It can't be that difficult, I had my dealer install an Alu Design steering wheel and they charged me .8 hours.....

Thanks to Dave's excellent instructions, I was able to swap the steering wheel out in about 15 minutes working time. I took me a day to borrow the right socket and wrench form a friend though. The color the steering wheel matches the Natural Gary Leather interior perfectly also. As to the blue stitching, it blends in quite good also (they kind of stands out due to the flash in the picture, but blends in quite out under natural light).

Blue loctite is the reason you need to break the air bag screws loose.

Alcantara feels GOOD, a little softer to the touch than the factory wheel. However the wheel is exactly the same size as the regular factory wheel and feels still too skinny in my hands.
