Porsche 6 Point Bar and Rear Seats?

Do you have to take out the rear seats to install the Porsche TE equipment 6 point roll bar? Also is there a Porsche OEM part that replaces the rear seat area? TIA

To your first Q - check rockitman's DIY for this in the tech/how to sub forum.
For your second question - look here: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...hreadid=128429

1) the backs can stay in but must stay in the up position. The bottom cushions may stay.
2) not in the way I think you mean this. However, there is a seat delete "kit" that covers up a few of the seat back attachment points.

follow links suggested by others for additional information.

thanks msindi, I will order the kit tommorrow. One thing I noticed is few people choose the 6 point bar over the 4 point bar. Is there a specific reason other than the price that I don't see.

Its probably because the 4-point does not have a cross brace and so you cannot attach shoulder harnesses to it

... and in my case, when I put the bar in I still had stock seats and due to my 5'-11" hieght I could not put the seat back far enough with the cross braced bar, so I went with the non-braced bar.

You guys are scaring me now... I have the stock sport seats and ordered the 6 pt roll bar coming in. I saw in the shootout article that the Yellow TT had the same configuration so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm really trying to not get the GT3 seats since they are a PITA for me to get in and out of...

As long as you are 5'-3" or under you are fine

Seriously, if you are over 5' - 9ish you will likely not fit with stock eats / crossbraced bar.
