If the "no 09 Turbo" rumor is valid....
I rarely bite on hypoteheticals but I have read two posts so far saying "no turbo for 09" and rather than debate the validity of an unsubstantiated claim I prefer to drop all conditionals and play the imaginary scenario ang guess ---
My guess -- If it's true , our Turbos will go up in value the moment that production of 08 cars ends.
Agree , disagree, or other?

My thinking goes like this :
1) 2010 is not exactly moments away .
2) Those who ditched their 997tt flooding the market in recent times most commonly :a) felt the heat of the down economy , 2) had problematic car. 3) other reason (unknown) . Once those cars are snached up supply grows short.
3) With NO other Porsche supercars and a newly released facelift 997 sporting new technology and reliability hurdles to prove -- along with a price increase --- OUR turbo's just got alot more appeal .
4) Appeal means value
FYI --I bought a 993 Turbo the year it went out of production . It was the ONLY Porsche I ever bought used . It had low miles and was in mint condition . I paid OVER MSRP for the car USED .
I was lucky to get the car .
A low mileage Turbo being the last of this engine block will translate into huge value I SPECULATE.

Those who didn';t are still holding the car .
If for any reason the 997 facelift goes up in price and has ANY reliability snags with a new engine block -- buyers will cling to the thought of aused Turbo.
To this day --some consider a used 996tt over a 997S .
The current used Turbo pricing has been very badly undervalued.
"No Turbo" could change that sentiment significantly.
