Attention track rats...Expert advice needed.

sparkhill,
The SharkLink does not look like the rod end type (Heim joint) that's all metallic; it looks like the plastic bushing similar to that of the stock drop link?
If so, are you using the same type -- plastic bushing -- front AND rear?
Reason I asked: Because the metallic Heim joint increases the effect of sway bar (both how strong and how fast -- there is no "give"), may not be a good idea to mix them?

And you are also 150% correct. The issue is with Bilstein's stupid/cheap solution on the ends. The orientation and geometry is correct. In fact if the stock drop links were correct then they would never fail. Bilstein has had this problem on the 996TT PSS10's when they changed to this design. Prior to that on the PSS9 kits they used non plastic OEM-style ends and all was well. Not a single failure in years/many installs. We complained over an over on the 10s on deaf ears but all of a sudden the PSS10 kits for 996TT's started showing up with the "older" style ones that worked (even though there "wasn't" a problem according to Bilstein). Such a shame over such a simple part that maybe they ended up saving $1-3 on;( We're still hoping/waiting they change back to those on the PASM kits. Until then we're using ours on our customer cars.

Alex, again, I think you are a great resource for this forum. Questions please:
1. Did your shop fabricate the Sharklink used in Sparkhill's Turbo, or is it a Porsche GT3 link?
2. If it is fabricated by your shop, is it available for sale if/when my Bilstein link pops?
TIA.

Chris...I know FL told you that those drop links will be okay...but I'd just keep an eye on them. They are the same design as the ones that popped out on me.
How do you like your setup?

They actually look a lot like the one I snapped on my PSS9 setup a couple years ago...

Chris,
Those look just like the Bilstein B16 drop links. Are they different?

Thanks for the update. It is kinda funny Bilstein would be on version 3 now when they claimed there were no issues with version 1 or 2. I hope they work though as I think they offer a good compromise for daily driver comfort.
