New 60-130 Data

Loaded up the race file, threw in some ms109, and let her rip in 4th. Here are the results.

6.9s; 4th gear pull (0 shifts, 6speed); T=65 F, calm

Entered 60 only at 0.49g. Last time I was up around 0.58g. Big difference and despite this disadvantage the race file was 0.4s faster than pump with a sub 7s run.

Nice! I still think that the acceleration advantage of 3rd gear should more than counteract the granny-shift factor. If you get a chance just try it and let us know what the result is.

I spoke with Todd via email yesterday. Sounds like a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic fellow. I don't know much about all this tuning stuff, hence I have listened to many post on this site. Very helpful. I liked the idea that Todd said he would work one on one with you and develop a tune specific for your needs and/or personality. Not sure how my comment " I want to go faster, more quickly" will translate.

LOL! Be careful what you wish for. Tuning is part science, part art. Some say Todd is magician. I have to agree. You exhange a few emails and the next thing you know several grand has disappeared from your bank account and your car is transformed into a wild beast.

Hi Men,

I'm in business with Proto' from a few weeks, exchanging files and logs with Todd...
He lets you discovering several tunes to understand your goals, and map the tune, merging the best (for you) of the others to provide the one you need...
Our job is not optimised yet but we progress, and not easy to work with a 7 hours jetlag, but I can confirm the knowledge is real and the results sensible.

When it will be fine I could share the results and times before/after...

So, for the moment and after several experiences, I follow Dave and this thread...

Nice to hear Pascal. It sounds like you're enjoying your experimenting. The thing I always liked about TK is that he is realistic and will work with you toward your goals. Even if you don't end up as the fastest car on the block, you get the satisfaction of interacting with a true expert and knowing that you're getting the best tune for your set-up. You're not restricted to a certain "package" either. He can tune Jack Daniels if that's what was in your tank.

Today I tested 3 tunes from Protomotive: the one had impressive midrange, the second very linear but a good top end... (while the boost was the same, but not tumings...)
Todd merged the both according to my impressions.
The car is now really strong from 3500 to revlimit!

I checked my 100-200 with my V-Box by 23°C AT, 2 persons in: 6.3' , it equals my very best time this winter by >5°C alone in the car...
I guess I will break the 6' >10°C

I will check 100-300, but for now I have to send Todd the logs to see if they are perfect, or if their is a need for mapping adjustement.

Stay tuned!

Pascal, I'm very happy you found your way with Todd. I have just send him my logs i will tune the car for weter/methanol.
So far i was using straight methanol but i feal the danger, i'll tune it for 60/40 meth/water where is the maximum % within safety
