Thank you for the kind words and your explanation. To answer your question, its really two fold. Yes the lighter weight of the Tech 1's is nice and always appreciated for performance but the main reason is that since I did not get PCCB's, I really need a darker wheel color so I spend less time cleaning the wheels brake dust and more time enjoying driving my Turbo. So I guess its more about the brake dust than any other factor.
Is there a ceramic pad that you could go to using your steel rotors?

This is a great question. If the performance is similar and reduces dust I would be all in! I just did a google search and I couldn't find any that fit a 2010 Turbo? Do you guys have any reasonable sources for a "less dust" brake pad for the 2010 Turbo steels?

Pagid blacks or yellows are ceramic based, as are EBC reds. Pagid lists 2007 plus for the yellows and blacks I believe. It would be worth a call to Pagid and EBC and possibly Ferodo to see if they have a low dust pad to fit.

Very nice Turbo! I look forward to seeing what you end up doing with her.

A couple of questions. Why didn't you order PCCBs to begin with? Yellow calipers would have looked great on yours. Ceramic based pads will definitely help with reducing brake dust. I put a set on my Audi A3 and there's a noticeable reduction in brake dust.

Have you thought about getting black badges? That would really look good on your white Turbo. I had it briefly on mine but it didn't really make a difference.

I have these Porsche rubber mats and LOVE them. I considered the WeatherTech ones but ended up getting these instead.

Consider getting the GT2 side sills. I got them for mine and they would fit perfectly with yours

Finally, I have a picture of the same thing...

Those are the TEquipment Rubber Mats from Porsche. I got them from Sunset Porsche but I think Suncoast should have or at least be able to get them.

The Hawk HPS pads may be lower brake dust than factory, but they are not as low as the Hawk Ceramics which almost leave no brake dust. I have chrome wheels and HPS pads in the back and Ceramics on the front and its a big difference in brake dust!

Thanks for the tip and I will certainly look into these.

Thanks for the post atomic and I must say your Turbo is beautiful as well. This was a dealer spec'ed Turbo so I didn't have a choice, other wise I would have got the PCCB's. I loved them on my last Turbo. I am planning just a tune by switzer for now and then we will see. This thing is fast stock. If I get board..then maybe some Turbos and cooling and call it a day.

I am going to go with a dark grey satin Turbo badge that matches my new wheels when they come in (see pic and the left or darker wheel, I also posted the actual wheel style as well) and will also get the exhaust tips ceramic coated the same dark grey. I am trying to stay away from black accents on her so I don't turn this into the Chicago Bulls mascot car.

I love the GT2 side skirts and think that they are the best side sills of all! I will certainly do these, they should be standard on the aero kit IMHO!

I love your rubber mats as well! I think either way its a win for the interior. Yeah that pic is a special one thanks for sharing. Cheers

This is good to know. I wonder if the ceramic pads are any harder on the rotors than the HPS?

Nope the HPS pads are harder on the rotors than the ceramics.
