DMS automotive info

By the ads, seems like the DMS engine management mod is a reliable approach to providing my 997 turbo, the power of the new Turbo S. Claim at least another 100HP. DMS claims their exhaust is not too loud and without drone if want that changed. Any experience out there with DMS?? Tried the 6-speed search with zero luck. Sure don't want to go the PDK route to get turbo "S" power.

Never heard of them, you generally get what you pay for. I've learned that the hard way. I'd go with reliable, well used companies.

DMS advertises over here too and the same agent also sells the APR tune and if you look at the specs the APR kills it everywhere and is cheaper too. Why would you bother getting drawn into these fancy talking marketing ads especially when there are so many credible user reviews right here on the 6 regarding tunes and exhausts for the 997tt. If no one here is using it i think you have your answer.

Well, suggest two more best in USA....as I indicated, my search of 6-speed site came up empty.

Yes Bish agree they do have a very good rep. I checked them out at the time and would have got their tune had it not been priced so high at 5500.00 from the Agent here. The APR was also 4k and still too $$ imo. This led me to check out the US tuners and found they had far more solid user reviews and were much less $ as well. Being able to flash the tune back to stock is also very handy plus having the durametric diagnostic cable to chase any problems, do data logs etc to make sure the engine is 100% happy. Never looked back really.

Johnww, check out Protomotive reviews as well. No unhappy customers there...as is the case with Europipe exhausts. These are givens. Btw is yours a .1 or .2tt?

Go to the RAC website (link in the banner on the right) - they rep GMG, FVD, Manthey, Champion.

Thanks for info The heafty $-APR has too much cruise control crap that can get fouled up. I like the simplier setup with DMF but had no idea of the high$. I'll check Protomotive reviews you suggest

Im not sure how much the DMS is your way? I know APR is certainly cheaper over your way (contact Matt at GMP performance for a price). The APR is a good tune on most accounts and the cruise stick function is actually a really good feature. I wouldn't under estimate it as a packet tune. As you know it can be put back to the stock tune file on the cruise stick which is very handy indeed. The greek guys are putting down some of the fastest 60 to 130 times using that tune on the 100 octane file. Protomotive is extremely good (and flawless reviews) especially if you plan on future mods at a later stage (such as turbos and intercoolers) as any future re mapping of the files is included in the price (you get two files, one for 93 and one fo 100 to begin with). The only drawback with Proto is not having the convenience of APR's switching on the fly feature but that is offset by Proto's remap option if you upgrade, plus you get the flashclient durametric cable etc. APR you dont. Either is very good though. On the exhaust im heavily biased toward the EP....and for very good reasons, the main one being it doesnt drone plus it makes good horsepower even without a tune, and looks like it belongs on the car. One thing you also need to accommodate for is a sachs clutch upgrade. That one is a necessity....dont be fooled into believing otherwise .

Check this out https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...30-record.html Just another one of Protomotive's tunes. Todd K. sure knows how to tune a 997tt .
