Mods not working - HELP!

After enjoying my 997 Turbo S for many months in stock form I decided to go with some mods; A couple of weeks ago i installed a Softronic Tune, Europipe exhaust, bmc air filter and agency power diverter valves.

The car sounds great and it gave me the impression that it felt more powerfull, untill tonight that i decided to race a friend that has the exact same car BONE stock, for my total dissapointment we went head to head from standstill to 120mph.

Any suggestions of what could be going wrong wiith the car/tune?

Datalog your car and your friends car and post the data. You should not only be able to see a difference but pinpoint it as well. Did you guys use the same fuel? Difference in driver ability?

Not sure if he can datalog it with new durametric software yet.
Get rid of AP Diverter Valves ( bad quality = leak ) and put stock DV's back again.

How many mile/kilo on ur current sparkplugs?

unfortunatley not able to datalog, same fuel, same conditions, we even switched cars and same results, we are both racing PDKs so driver ability is out of the question

Is this a fact??

It would suck if it's true because I just ordered a set last week.

Any suggestions if I want to improve boost response. I feel it takes too long for the boost to build between shifts.

Did some tests today to see boost levels, the car is boosting 17psi and oscilates between 14 to 17psi depending on the gear and rev range;

is this oscilation in the boost pressure normal?

what is the peak boost psi that the turbo S makes and how much should it increase with the softronic tune???

Yah, but keep in mind it's only fractions of a second. When I look at the G force from my Pbox runs, from the time I clutch in to going back to max G force it takes about .8-.9 of a second. Though I'm not powershifting, I feel that time should be around .5-.6 unless I'm just shifting super slow.

Contact whomever sold you the flash. They should be willing to help you sort this out.

If the boost still jumping then there is something wrong. Not sure about softronic but keep in mind that you won't see more than 1.1bar with upper arrow on the dashboard even if u ran higher boost. The dashboard won't show higher than 1.1bar plus upper arrow.

Then keep practice and get Forge DV's. You should feel the better response.

I would suggest that you check for boost leaks and the DV's as they had been one of the last installs. The file that you have will gen more than 541WHP at 91US oct or 95 Ron in which has been the highest gains on the market and more than 560HPWHP with 98ron or 93. The flash should have also taken about 12minto complete via the OBDII port and if not then perhaps it was not flashed.

While others have posted great gains with the DFI TT cars they have usually been flashed by Softronic prior.........

Best Regards,
Softronic
