Dension 500S BT install

Turbos come with the CDC checked to on. So you shouldn't need to program. I don't have the CDC in my car yet when I installed mine and used the CDC for the dension, it worked, That's said, if you do, bring it to the dealer or if you have durametric to program the feature. .

Slogging my way through this. No CDC. Dealer programmed when unit was in bypass mode. Result no CD Changer error. Dealer reprogrammed in active mode. Started car, GW aux shows up. Was cycling through menu settings trying to "activate bluetooth". Couldn't find that menu item. Then, "no CD changer error" returned. Will give it another shot later.

Let me provide you some candid advice from ~4 years of working with my Porsche 997 audio system. Do not bother with the Dension. Its a piece of cr*p. Bite the bullet and replace the Bose amp with the JL Audio 6-channel amp. I did this recently (see my post on Rennlist) and the result is much better.

Keep in mind, it is a fair bit of work. I wouldn't recommend it for somebody who either isn't very handy or fat walleted. However, I think it is the only way to go.

Hindsight is always perfect, and for now, going to press on w/ Dension (as I already bought, installed, and dealer programmed). Getting good tech support from dension dealer (bumperplugs). Good news is BT phone function works perfect. Still no music, yet.
