New Fabspeed Exhaust....Boost problems

I installed a new fabspeed maxflow exhaust with 200 Cell Cats. I removed the rear bumper and the intercoolers to install. After putting everything together and test driving I clearly had a boost leak. I took the bumper off again today to find that the intercooler hoses from the top of the intercooler into the Y pipe had popped loose. I made sure they were securely in this time and reinstalled everything. Took it for a drive and everything seemed back to normal but then on the way home I put it into sport mode and it went into the same problem, only boosting 7 pounds and feeling slow. I am assuming that the same problem exists. My question is am I doing something wrong with those connections? Can I snap them back in from the engine compartment or do I need to take the bumper off yet again? Can these factory hoses easily hold the new power I am giving to it or do I need to upgrade the hoses? Thank in advance for all the suggestions.

Its those pesky little clips. You have to make sure the tube is fully seated then the clip will slide right in holding it securely. I had the same problem when I put my exhaust on.

The factory hoses should work fine as many cars run them with aftermarket tunes, upgrades, etc. As said, if anything the clips needs replacement.

You may have to remove bumper to check everything and make proper connections. I definitely suggest you have someone pressure test everything before you reassemble to avoid the same issue again.

Thank you gentlemen. I was sure they were properly seated but obviously not. I was thinking maybe the clips went on first and then they clip and lock in. I seated them together and then put the clips on. I know it is the connection from the top of the intercooler to the y pipe. I was hoping to do it from the top without taking the bumper off again.

Yes deffo the intercooler hoses are not clicked in properly somewhere!

When you have a look and find the culprut what you do is push the hose in till you here a click and it's 100% secure then!

Thanks. Should the clips be on before I insert the tubes together in order to get them to lock?

Problem fixed! . Thank you everyone.

In case anyone is reading this in the future and has the same problem it helped me to put the clips on first and then mate the two fittings together. I was able to take the Y pipe off and fix it from the top rather then taking the bumper off again as it was the connection from the top of the intercooler to the Y pipe that was giving me trouble.
