No need to rewire compressor, only one wire change on control unit, then coding with piwis 2 or 3. Piwis 1 can't code ac control unit.
Also no need to find some exact partnumber, last ten units bought from eBay was exact same in fact.

Hi, i'm just wondering if some one of you guys can help me with my problem?
I've bought an 997.2 from japan without PCM, they use Clarion units. The guy who imported the car, cut wires and adapters and now there is an alpine unit which is working fine, but i would love to have the OEM look in the car. So i tried to retrofit PCM 3.0 unit in the car. I have no MOST-Bus, but BOSE sound system (it's BUSLESS) and there is an original Porsche CAN-Box installed behind the unit to get all the signals you need to make an aftermarket unit working.
I installed the PCM 3.0 and do some wiring, i've grabbed CAN H/L from the CAN Box (yellow/blue and black/blue), Ground, 12V and a green Cable i think it's for wake-singal (?!) and the white/red for the AMP.
The first thing i want to is that the PCM is starting and shutting down with the ignition and that it will show me my trip data. Unfortunately nothing happens. I just can start the PCM manual and send it to sleep by pressing the button.
Is there any thing i have to do like coding the car, so it knows there is an PCM to send the correct data? is it even possible to retrofit the PCM to a non bus 997.
I would love to get some help from you guys.
