If you want to do this job by yourself, then you gotta read whole topic, I'm pretty sure that one already posted picture with wiring diagrams. Even if not - in any way you need to find them on some torrents, program called Porsche WDS. To install PCM3 this is working tool number one.

Not looking to do this my self. I've actually taken the car in twice but my mechanic and I want to be absolutely sure before we start cutting wires.
The schematics on this thread are in russian and for the PCM.
...and yes I have read through the thread 3 times already.
What I'm looking for is help with the HVAC and button strip (below the PCM). I can't find wiring diagrams for that anywhere. Specifically old .1 and new .2
I've already done the PCM piece.
Fig 2 shows the 997.1 connector
Fig 2 green background shows where the pins are in the connector.
Fig 3 shows the position of the retrofitted 9971 plug into the 997.2 connector
Fig 3 yellow background shows the new location of the pins using the old (shorter) plug.
Is that correct???
Once again... any one that can help with the wiring of the HVAC and button block below the HVAC?
Or help with providing wiring diagrams in english for the 997.1 and 997.2 items as above?
...Not interested in PCM.

this is correct.
also you have to make sure that your HVAC unit is for a 2009 997.1. , it is a different part number than a 997.2
This thread has been very helpful to me. Thanks to all contributing.
Might seem like a stupid a question, i am checking the fuses on the Pcm however i cant seem to locate the fuse at the back of the pcm 3.0, on the 2.1 is it a clear red fuse sticking out on the back however on the 3.0 its not there or i must be blind lol.
Also is there any other fuses i should be checking? I believe there is one in the bose amp aswell.
I have read through all the pages of this interesting thread. The process has been impressive.
I am trying to source the P/N for the black plug on the HVAC, and a P/N for the pins would be great too.
Just to confirm, the red plug P/N could be 4g0972420 or 8E0972420b or 8E0972420c, correct?
Thats correct.
Here's the one I bought:

Where did you purchase the plug from and did you get the pins separately?
Can you walk us through the rewiring of this plug? Curious as without the pins seperately it may be difficult.
