2007 997tt Clutch Weirdness

Hi guys. Starting couple weeks ago, my clutch feels really stiff when i step on it to start the ignition. It seems ok during normal driving, but when i turn off the ignition and restart, it gets stiff again. If i step on it few more times without starting, it gets worse. Any idea? Hopefully it is not something major. My CPO ran out recently... Thanks.

Sounds like a failed clutch accumulator to me. Other people will chime in, but I think you can ditch the clutch assist for a GT2 setup. Don't know the details though.

Accumulator definitely. I paid about $550 (bit on the high side..) to get it replaced, easy job but its in a difficult spot. These are considered a wear item on the car. The GT2 setup is more involved and you need a $1k conversion kit.

You'll have to replace accumulator and slave and probably the reseviore.

I only had accumulator replaced and so far no issues with slave...

Lol it was from an indy shop but I think the dealer charges about the same. Not using that indy shop anymore....
