The timing is very timid for now, same as with 98 pumpgas.

Nevertheless times are pretty fast: 100-200 in 4,8' and 96-209 in 5,4' alone in the car (at 1,50Bar boost).
I didn't tried long pulls yet but an astonishing 100-250 in 9,3', 2 persons in during the logging.

A new tune with more agressive timing will be tested soon.
For now I dunno which fuel will be my standart...

Cheers,
P.
Congrats Pascal. Are you running stock intank pumps?what is the size of your injectors.
Thanks,
Ali

Hi Nick and Ali,

My clutch is the strongest Sachs I could buy at FVD's, I have the ref. somewhere...

My fuelpump is stock, with a 5Bar FPR and 80Lbs injectors, IDC was 65% with 98pumpgas @1,35-40Bar and 95% with E85 @1,5Bar.
Lambdas perfect.
But a little upgrade might be the next mod...

Nice so you are running the 1050nm plate?

How do you find it?

Yes Nick, the 1050Nm one, it seems pretty strong and stays correct at driving, not too stiff.

Rui, It seems possible to me the 100-200kph time could lower to 4,7' with a better timing!
Anyway my goal isn't breaking records... (and i'm still far from)
I admit the road was a bit long (and expensive!) but today the car is very strong and pleasant for my use.

I think you can be much faster, you're still far from maxing the turbos.

BTW, 4,7s is enough to beat the standard Veyron

Update: underdrive pulley is gone, the pin dowell broken...
I should have bolt a light inertia one when rebuilt.

Hi Pascal,

Its a big problem with these engines. however can be fixed.

You will need a harmonic damper to overcome the issue.

Which flywheel and crank pulley do you have now?

Second thing can happen is flywheel bolts coming loose...

(Porsche has an official bulletin about this issue.)

Your motor should be internally balanced and should not need a harmonic balancer. The spinning off of the crank pulley is not due to an unbalanced rotating assembly usually. It is usually the stock crank pulley and lwf combo coming to an abrupt stop when letting off the gas.Double pin the crank and install a aftermarket crank pulley (think Evoms)and the problem goes away.

Hi Emre,
My crankshaft has been balanced during the rebuilt, my Carrillo and Mahle pistons are as well...
I run a LFWL and the stock pulley for now.
My engine is very responsive from low end and I believe it is the issue.

Hi Joe,
Yes as said to Emre my internals are well balanced.
I'm gonna machine 2 other holes for pindowell (at 120°, or 1 at 180° if enough) at the end of my crankshaft and shrink fit a light inertia pulley from Todd or Evoms.
True 750/800ps is an hard drug to drive, but you really have to merit it!

P.

Hi Pascal,
I just install the Proto pulley on my 3.8l engine using only the factory pin.torqued it at 140ft/lb(190NM) with red loctite.Todd.K said this is enough and no need for another pin.

Internal parts balancing and harmonic balance are different things...

http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/t...kshaft_damper/

Some birds in USA and Germany told me that several Porsche engines are having broken oil pump issues... (same reasons like loose flywheel bolts, loose crank pulley etc...)

Just my 2 cents...

Do you mean you bolt some "crankshaft dampers" on your engines?
