First time at the Dragstrip!

Went to the dragstrip yesterday with my buddy Jorje aka Liquidassets. I got 3 passes in. My best was a 10.8 at 140mph on map 5. I still have one more map to go though.

Map 5 is: 1.2 Bar 1-3 gear and 1.9 Bar 4-6

Map 6 is: 1.9 Bar 1-6

I still have a lot left in her. I didn't want to run on kill until I got the launch down.

This run was done on Toyo R888's with full tire pressure and full interior with 91 degree weather and a horrible uphill track with a bad DA as well. We have one of the worst tracks in the country here in Vegas. It actually goes uphill LOL.
My 60 foot was pretty bad as well. It was only my 3rd time ever launching the car and first time ever at a dragstrip. Usually I only roll race, but now I have axles so I figure why not?

Nice runs! Those trap speeds are getting you in pretty elite company.

Thanks brother, yeah I'm going to the dragstrip again this Friday for a private track session. Should be only 15-20 cars tops.

You are further hampered by elevation in Vegas. Your DA there on a 90 degree day could be north of 6,000 feet. Come down with us to Famoso in Bakersfield (a few miles from Ft. Shafter) on 5/16 for Friday night drags and you will see a 145 trap easy!

Great first attempt!!
If you attend Adam's invite in Famoso I'll try to be there also. I'm TERRIBLE at the launch, maybe I can learn something.

Gaining +32mph from the 1/8th is pretty impressive! The 1.98 sixty foot is killing you but that will improve with practice.

With the 60 foot around 1.7, you should be looking at a low 10.4 .run with everything else the same which is very respectable with the weather and elevation.

Also makes you realize how much difference the PDK makes on a drag strip when you compare your power to the power of the low 10 sec PDK cars.

Thanks for the invite Adam, but a 5 hour drive is rough for a night at the dragstrip.

I would love to, it's just too far away from Vegas.
