exhaust installation around the Philadelphia area advice...

hey guys, after owning my 997.2TT since June of 2013 it's time to put a new exhaust on her. So far all i've done is added some interior carbon fiber pieces...and in the past year i've enjoyed the car very much but now i'm going to put a new exhaust on. after listening to videos and reading reviews...i decided to go with a speedtech option. now for my question....

Has anyone in the PA/NJ/DE area had a shop put an exhaust on their TT that you'd recommend? I live in philadelphia so closer would be better but just looking for any thoughts/advice. Thanks in advance...i'll be sure to take before and after videos for all to watch/hear.

i've attached 2 pictures from the day she was picked up...loved every second since the day she arrived.

Posted the same thing in another thread, but Undercover Tuning is in Pennsauken, NJ which is ~10 minutes from Philly. They've been making a lot of noise in the Porsche Turbo community, specifically with prodigymb's SpoolBus (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-spoolbus.html) & setting the 996TT WHP World Record with Top Guns monster (https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ter-996tt.html)

After looking what they're capable of, I'm sure they'd have no problem doing an exhaust/tune/etc for your 997.2 Turbo

If you have a .2 then look at the Sharkwerks muffler it is a great deal about 1/2 to a 1/4 of others, no drone and sounds great on acceleration and start up.

sounds great thanks for the advice. I'm gonna give undercover tuning a call this week...exhaust should be on it's way friday I'm told.

I appreciate the advice on the Sharkwerks muffler...but I chose to go with speedtech's x-pipe muffler delete system and if need be i can put the cat bypass pipes on if i want some more performance and sound. I anticipate that soon...I will be chipping the car so I think that's when I'll likely go with the cat bypass.

mit_boost I appreciate the info...I tried calling undercover tuning as well as a few others for the past 7 days. messages and e-mails were left about 4-5 times with absolutely no response in particular from undercover tuning. very disappointing to be honest so i went with another installer although i have noticed they've been "reprimanded" for not responding to customers in the past. sad to see people that are on the forums not supporting each other but i should have the exhaust installed on friday.

Love to hear about prior reprimands sir. And the fact that you took the time to post on my FB page but never message me. Kinda like you posted on 6speed but never messaged me..... We have 2 locations that we are in the process of consolidating to 1 now that we have the funds to move the awd dyno. Therefor the phone for tuning is out of service till thurs. My email goes unattended. And forums are checked daily by myself as well as any Facebook messages. However thank you for going to the trouble to post twice now when in order to reach us you could only pick up a phone.

Shop number is 6099229373
Tuning/office 8563827543 (out of service till thurs)

My personal email:
Undercovertuning@me.com

Thanks

I still never received an email or pm. Most people know me. And I'm pretty easy going. Id like to think I've done a bit for several communities because I love what I do. Not because it's my job. I look forward to possibly hearing from you in the future. Good luck with your car. They are a special breed.
