Going under the knife in a couple weeks
Absolutely, like 100k miles left
I'm very amused by the water cooled Porsche community thinking their turbo motors are nearly used up with 60k on the clock. These are not the fragile, cantankerous, air cooled turbo motors of yore. My engine looked superb. I don't plan on any major maintenance for a very long time to come with all that I did recently.

Change your oil and fluids on regular basis and your good...it's funny how you bring high milage on these motors...have a friend that is rebuilding his motor to a 3.8.. That car has 110k on it...his mechanic told him that he amazed on how clean and wear free the car was...and to add that the car has been driven hard and modded since 2007 is just freaking amazing...these motors are built to last 250k or more so its nice that over 100k can be driven on modded ones....
Do Cobb pro tunes do away with the MaF and go speed density based on the Porsche platform?
Absolutely. I'm going to let it adapt for a day or two and look for any trends in the logs before I get back in touch with you guys. Everything is coming along very well. I'm going to be doing some vboxing here shortly...expecting to see some numbers a LOT faster than my last 7.31

hey OP,
Man i was in birmingham last week. would have liked to check out your car.
so have you logged timing/knock? Guessing you don't have a wideband o2 on the car. Thanks for logging and posting everything. Sounds like the gt2 IC are pretty worth it.
With the boost being raised to 20 psi from 11 psi stock, will you start following the maintenance guide of the gt2 and swap out the plugs every 13k? seems like you're pretty handy with the 997. i haven't tried attempt changing my plugs yet. I've ready the DIY but i've been holding it off to do it all when i do the clutch one day.
Thanks,
Sid

Timing and knock related timing correction are standard items logged with Cobb. The 997 comes with stereo widebands from the factory. Actual AFRs are also standard log items. The car has AFR targets and the corrections needed to hit those targets at both partial and full throttle show up in the short term fuel trims.
I won't replace my plugs again until I start having misfire issues at full boost.

Try that link. That's a recent 3rd gear pull. IAT, AFR, and boost are all in there as well as a variety of other variables.
I didn't buy anything but the cores. Installed with no issues.
