I think it's difficult to buy an exhaust for a cabriolet too. I'd love more sound, but I don't want something that is obnoxious when I'm cruising with the top down. The two that I'm really considering at this point are the Europipe and the Kline systems. I'm intrigued by inconel....
Can't go wrong with either but there is a significant price difference. I have heard EP in person and sounds great. I purchased a Kline which I only heard on videos but the sound is night and day difference since videos are very limited. In person the Kline sounds amazing. Very exotic sound with no drone. Both have distinct sound and quality is great on either. Personally, it came down to customer service and price. I can get an exhaust and a tune for the price of EP.
I got the 200 cell cats non-inconel. It sounds amazing but I hear the Inconel version even sounds more exotic with higher pitched sound. I wish I could swing it but I'm very happy with the version I have .
Ep1
I have had ep1 on my 997 turbo manual for 2 years and perfect sound , performance for the type of car the turbo is meant to be . In regards to price, look at the quality of the product as I cannot understand how certain people are ok putting less inferior equipment on a supercar? You get what u pay for!

So then you don't get what you pay for?

Having no exhaust and just straight pipe in our cars will probably gain more hp and it's free. It will be loud but free.
I would encourage you to consider the Inconel version as the pitch in the upper rpm, from 4k onward is higher with a hint of GT3. The sound is smooth and euro sounding, despite the higher pitch. Below 4k, it's a smooth rumble w/o the drone. The overall exhaust sound is more noticeable with Sport/Sport Plus mode. This is in my experience.
Dennis, Since you are CAB, I'd be inclined to go forward with the 200cell Inconel unit. You won't be disappointed!

Both europipe and Klein are good pipes. I'd rec either for you, the ep is slightly louder especially on cold start. If I had to pick I'd say the europipe is the best choice for a coupe and Klein for the cab. Forget about cost, the euro took a dump so the ep is within a few hundred of the klein w hjs cats, the english cats are several hundred cheaper so dealers choice I suppose.
I currently have the 200c Klein (non hjs cats) good clean sound, no cels, no drone, no complaints. But, I could definitely see myself with another ep someday.

Hi there, I have EP2 with 200 cells on my 997 GT2 and for me it sounds perfect w/o any drone. When I am driving in traffic (slowly) it is not so loud, but when I accelerate to higher rev it sounds really sweet and 'exotic' in compare to OE (akrapovic) exhaust, which sounds poor... I have a friend with 996 Turbo Cab with OE exhaust and his car sounds very quiet like 'normal car' and he was so exited about exotic sounding of my GT2 even from cold start. You could almost hear like every valves work
That's my 02 cents

Ps. Please bear in mind that is not only for sound effects, what is more important it adds more hp's (+24 hp +28 Nm) and prevents from backpreassure!
