Quadcammer is infamous around these parts
so what exhaust most closely mimics the sound and noise level of the EP at the lowest cost?

No way in hell am I paying $4700 for an exhaust, or $3500 for a used one.

You can go with a true full 3" exhaust from Speedtech with no cats for way cheaper than those numbers you have, made in the USA all SS construction.

Manuel

I had exactly the same question, but unless you can get to hear the different exhausts in person, you will need to (at some point) gamble and just buy something.

As I already mentioned I got an Kline w 200-cells, love it!!!

Remember gents, Kline has 3 cat options and 3 system levels to get you as close as possible to your needs with support and guarantee. Less stressful this way and a happy experience is the goal.

Thats terrific, but it sounds to me like that will be far far far too loud for my purposes.

Seems like I have heard them all, and I have yet to hear one that's "too loud." I know this is a subjective matter. Cat-less straight pipes on a NA car are too loud, in my opinion. Completely different effect on a turbo. The turbos dampen anything that comes after them.

If you prefer a quieter system, don't let the 3" X-Pipe sound level scare you. We produce our 997TT exhausts in a full array of sound levels from pure 3" X-Pipes with our custom 3" dual tips to very refined 2.5" muffled X-Pipe versions utilizing OEM tips that offer a nice sport sound without being intrusive in the cabin or overly loud. And everything in between. Every sound level sounds absolutely fantastic - you can not go wrong with any of them.

Further, we offer a sound guarantee - if you purchase any of our 997TT X-Flow exhaust systems and after installation you feel you would like to change to a quieter or louder sound level, we will swap you out at no charge. This is our way our insuring that after purchasing a SpeedTech exhaust, our customers end up with a product they are happy with in the long term.

Our systems are completely made in the USA with the exception of the HJS cat substrates on our catted street systems, which we source from Germany.

Feel free to contact me for additional information regarding dialing in the type of sound you prefer or any other questions.

That's a great deal.
Maybe John can post a vid of the 2.5 x quiet?

Always go for the 3 inch loud version of these sports exhausts IMO. By NA standards they are very quiet!

Sorry to hear that you are upset about the price.

Prices go up and down along with the exchange rate fluctuations.

Current price for our stage 1 is $4,150 USD. That is expensive indeed but its due to our XL size high quality 100 cell cats.

All other exhausts sound different but very nice as well.

Thumbs up

Stef are the cats different on EP1 and EP2?

Very happy indeed I went for EP2. You get what you pay for. You pay peanuts you get monkeys.

Quality is off the scale

Cats on EP1 and EP2 are identical.

EP2 has some drone on a regular Turbo but no drone on a GT2 or on a car with GT2 turbochargers.

Nice tips you have there!

^^^That explains why my EP2 sounds relatively quiet Stef - as you're aware I have GT2 turbos with larger hybrid billet compressor wheels - cars reasonably lively!
