Glad you got yours sorted bud.

I only had to pay a little on top. Whatever the cost was I would have paid tbh as it has made me love the car now where as before I was considering selling it.

EP1 owner here, 'loud when you want it to be' is a very good description. And for my needs that is perfect.

Yes we're lucky EP1 and EP2 flys off the shelves in the second hand market. Its a shame you could not have EP2. Alls well that ends well

Your thread and your story. To each their own and there are definitely different approaches to building an exhaust system. I have yet to have someone be disappointed after a short consultation and giving it a try…Glad to hear your happy with your Kline Innovation exhaust system!

Thanks Sambo for all your info. The exhaust for me and everyone who has heard so far is outstanding, the car sounds exotic something which I did not expect.

Wow that GMG's spec sounds pretty exotic. Would love to hear a vid if you ever get the time. The X pipe design without any heavy boxes are by far the lightest exhausts around especially if you have you have them made out of titanium - very cool

When you pm'd with an unsolicited approach you seemed pretty happy to take my EP2 off my hands and supply me with another brand when I innocently mentioned in a post that I found my EP2 loud exhaust with 100 cel oversized cats quiet.

I neither asked you for an exhaust nor mentioned I wanted to replace my EP2 which I've always said I am more than happy with on these boards. If I was worried about sound I wouldn't be driving a 911 turbo period as they will never sound like the Italian thoroughbreds.

This practice of vendors being allowed to cold call via PM and make unsolicited approaches to members should be banned. Its not good form.

Gentleman, just to clarify.
Emitech is a supplier/manufacturer who makes cat cores for several OEM and aftermarket companies like HJS for example. There are also a few grades and ratings to select from designed for different applications. Several exhaust manufacturers offer these cats depending on requirements and budget. There are a few high end suppliers of catalytic converters out there as well as lower performing units although many will agree on the Emitech and or HJS Motorsports cats to be the top offering. Although I stand behind any set up I recommend or sell (thanks to Kline's support) I help decide what's going to do the job so the customer gets maximum value. Just as we offer for example varoius material options like stainless steel, titanium or inconel 625. A customer who chooses any one of those is not wrong. One feature I love is the ability to swap from catted to decat with the Kline. In this case I'm really happy the OP inquired and I was able to follow through helping him meet his needs to enjoy his car more.

9e, you didn't seem upset when I sent you the message. This is a public forum and when you come on posting about something some of us reach out to see if we can be of assistance. I've been a supporter here since 2003 and built a strong reputation. Please know my intentions were not to create any type of angst. In fact in the end I was and am happy for you. I likely even complimented your system. I do still offer pretty much anything and work with everyone except for one brand actually. And that people know they can come to me for an honest answer and a great offer with top-notch service. I also reach out when I feel I may be of help. I'm lucky that I can work at this level doing what I love. I'm really glad you're happy with your exhaust system!

In this case the OP benefited from it and again that feels great and very rewarding

Cheers!

^^^ Its not something I was particularly upset about but I firmly believe vendors like yourself Sambo should not be able to make unsolicited approaches selling their wares to members unless members have first approached them to buy something. Its not far off pestering someone IMO.

To be clear Europipe is the ONLY aftermarket Porsche sports exhaust which uses oversize 100 cel Emitec race cats so far as I am aware.

Emitec cats to buy in the trade are $2000!

Here's a link to advantages of Emitec. Note the first bullet which is very helpful especially with VTGS.

And just to add Emitec and HJS 100 cel cats are NOT the same. Thats just plain misleading.

Light is best, no doubt...but usually quite expensive too and for good reason, due to the exotic materials. I still vote for EP though with the strong dollar the price point is close to half of Ti or Inconel...plus it is built strong as OEM and the only one with the Emitecs. Not to put down the other choices, as I am sure they sound great. I just like the EP "value"

I respect your opinions 9e. I believe I have yet to do anything here that anyone else I have come into contact with dislikes or disagrees with. I will always try my best to help out anyone I can. Again enjoy your system in good health. I had an EP almost 15 years ago. Loved it then. We are all lucky that there are so many great choices!
If anyone feels they would like a Kline system with ANY cats, they are available. It's not exclusive to any one group. We just like to give you options for various reasons.

^ I dont believe that Kline can get the same cats as EP...I had heard they paid a lot of $$ to have the sole rights to them...please explain
