Price wise, I think ones comfort paying for aftermarket parts relates to the price of the car.
This is my 4th 997tt, 7th turbo (most bought brand new$$$). When I bought my ep brand new in 2010 it was like 4200 on my 134k car, now these same cars are in the 70s, so I think guys are looking for a proportionate price. It's all relative, I think if the ep was about 3500 new it wouldn't be regarded as "too expensive" by secondary and tertiary owners who now have these cars, as I don't think there's a lot of R&D still going on with 997.1 turbos.
Just my .02.

Current price for our stage 1 is $4,150 USD. That is expensive indeed but its due to our XL size high quality 100 cell cats.

All other exhausts sound different but very nice as well.

Music to my ears. Steph earns more street cred by talking up the virtues of his product, without criticizing that of his competitors. Professional all the way! I love that!

Thanks Buddy

Its funny I'm the first and only owner of my car but had to wait till the car was out of official warranty i.e. 8 years old before I decided to buy a sports exhaust. My car was probably only worth $70,000 here in the UK at 8 years old and the EP2 cost me circa just under $5000 but it didn't bother me at all. Same with the wheels like easily $10,000 for wheels/Cup 2 tyres but they were the best IMO out there so again it didn't bother me. Same with my GT2 turbos - they are eye wateringly expensive here in UK but for me I wanted OEM or better quality so went with those - they've been tricked up a bit with motorsport bearings etc. Its a Porsche so I always want components that are better quality or at least equal to OEM and they are few and far between.

Having said that there seems to be a lot more choice and healthy competition nowadays when it comes to exhausts, turbos and wheels. The Speedtech, Capristo, BBI, Kline Inconel all sound amazing too!

No worries chief. You make a quality product, I get that.

I just don't see $4200 of value in any exhaust.

Totally get that Oliver, ep is probably one of the best pieces available, but the price is at the upper end for sure.
Try speedtech or pm Sam re the Klein, I think both would fill your criteria.
If you're at the westbury gardens concourse tomorrow ill be there with my turbo and you can hear and drive it as long as you like.

Thanks. Pricewise I shoot in my own foot with these XL 100 cell cats. The $4,150 is indeed a lot. Without cats it would be $2,200.

Agreed Europipe quality is nothing short of perfection. I have the Europipe stg2 and thought it was a bit quiet so I added awe headers and the sound is fantastic.

Thanks for this. Yes thought about replacing headers but was advised stock manifolds flow very well and there is no tangible power gain from replacing headers. Interesting that the they sound better. If you ever get a chance to put a vid up I'd appreciate it.

I'll try this weekend to get a clip up, I didn't want to go catless but wanted a better sound from the exhaust and it was achieved with the headers. I also went with larger turbos so another reason headers were installed.

Have you tried a new air filter, such as BMC? It helps.

I put one on my old C2S and the only thing the BMC filter did was **** up the MAF sensor.

Kiine 100cel system added and problem resolved, very happy with the car. At idle and cruise speeds it is actually quieter than stock, when the rev's increase it becomes like an NA engine with an actual scream at WOT it is amazing what Kline have achieved!

Hi Buddy, Glad you've got to where you want with sound. Was there much net cost i.e. selling Europipe and buying Kline or was your second hand Europipe snapped up for the same price as the new Kline?

Be nice to hear a vid if you ever have the time.

On another note my tuner 9e felt my IATS were rising more quickly than its other 9e 28 sister cars and he thought I may have burned my cats by using the wrong fuel at a drag event. I was getting worried I might get a big $2000 repair bill lol. on both sides the cats turned out to be fine and Stef turned the exhaust round within a week! Amazing service levels. Many thanks Stef

Pics showing the XL 100 cel Emitec cats. These are the least restrictive cats out there i.e. least back pressure short of going catless or cat bypass.
