I just moved to Houston and would like some recommendations for some trusted shops to work on my 09 TT. Most pressing issue is a new clutch install. And yes, I did a search.

Modern Aircooled is located near downtown - they did my clutch install along with pulled my motor and did some upgrades etc. very capable shop.

I struggled to find some shops myself especially on south side of town, but have discovered a few gems outside of dealerships.

Steve and the guys at Drivers Source are one of the few in Houston we let touch our (my brother and my own) Porsches.

It is a "hike" from us but when we don't have time to do something at our shop they are who we call. Plus Steve and them have always been there even when we run into little problems/questions.

 

Steve at Driversource is the only one I let touch my car.

Drivers Source for me. Steve is great.

 

Steve is one of a kind, by that I mean he is honest, hardworking and knowledgable. He is the only person I let work on my 1300 hp Porsche.

 

Akram has always taken very good care of me. He modded a 996tt that I kept for 7 years and took to him for most major service work from San Antonio. He recently helped me in looking over a 997 TT I just bought. Former certified Porsche tech.
