Another C6Z06 997tt thread.
Well, if INDY wants a race and he is serious about it, come on by the western Chicago Suburbs and lets see what happens against an experienced driver. I'll race his stage 2 996TT with the Z06 and after his turbo's cool down and he is finished licking his wounds, I'll let him run against my little old 99 C2.
Let's arrange it during the Corvette Show so we'll have lots of spectators.
INDY is only 200 miles from me, so if he is serious about seeing what his car can and can't do, let me know. He can even bring a video camera if he wants. If he insists on a slight lead in the race, that can probably be arranged too.
It is amazing that people have so little respect for the speed of the Vette, but it makes it so much more rewarding to see these people's faces after a quick run. The 996TT is a great car, but hardly in the same leage as the Vette. Keep modding and you'll eventually beat a stock Z06.

I can't believe this **** is still in discussion LOL. Both cars are fast and nice IMO, who cares? I seriously love both, too bad I hardly see any and when I do its an older guy, I would love to get a run in!
Well, I am not sure where my post went. It must have gotten deleted. Fine with me.
Indy, when you are willing to drive half way or even drive ALMOST half way (leaving me with more of a drive, which I am willing to do aas long as it is not too much), I am ready at any day and any time to meet up. You now have 2 different offers, myself and 1999Porsche911. Pick one and choose your fate..

Jesus Christ guys, they are both great cars that will stomp 99% of virtually anything out there. Enjoy what you have.

If he seriously needs to prove the impossible, then he will come to you or me. Don't hold your breath, tho. He is probably regretting making the challenge in the first place.
Maybe he'll change his screen name and start over. These are worthless threads, IMO, because most people are all talk. People around where I live don't bother with the talk until after the walk has been taken.

Anyway, Amerlemans, you are right, they both would stomp on 99% of the cars out there and they are both great cars. We finally agree on something. But, what I HATE is when people are so blinded by the badge and think they are untocuhable because of it. A C6 Z06 with a competent driver (like myself) will beat ANY stock 997 TT or any stage II 996 TT and I am just here to prove it to the ones that seem to disagree. But, as you can see, I am having a hard time finding anyone to accpet the challenge to race ,me in either car. I think you and I both know the reason for that..

Both great cars? You bethca, and I would NEVER say otherwise about either one.
This thread is great. Sorry I had to step away to see the colts whip the ravens!!! Okay so here's the deal I'll be more than happy to run anyone, I don't really give a ****. I'm a car guy and just for the record I've owned 3 vette's so please stop with the respect talk. I didn't really want to drive but I'll make and exception for scvette(within 70 miles) because he honestly wants to see what his car will do. I can understand that.
1999 porsche, I don't appreaciate you saying I'm all talk what prof do you have to make that statement? If you want me to run you as well that's fine like I said I don't care. Believe me I've owned cars alot faster the my current I'm not unrealistic about it. Just be honest with what you have and let me know when your down and save the bull****.

You keep on saying within 70 miles because that is your good way out to NOT race. I told you I miscalculated my miles to the border. I am not going to drive 500 miles to race you dude. I am being more than fair by stating I will drive a tad MORE than half way to race. If you don't want to, that is fine, but don't make it sound like I am the one that is backing out, when in reality it is you that just doesn't want to drive the distance that I am willing to drive.
I will say it one last time. Any day, Any time. I am ready when you are.

That doesnt matter dude. You seem like a good guy and I don't want to talk about this anymore. I have offered to drive a tad more than half way and my offer still stands. If you want to do it, fine, if not, then we wont do it. But just remember that if this race doesn't happen, it is due to YOUR NOT WANTING to drive, not mine. Peace

I understand getting all caught up in the racing and its a good fire to have. I just know there is always something thats faster somewhere out there. I think it would be a great race between you two. If you can make it happen, great and if you can't no big deal. Even if the Z06 wins, I know which car I would rather own and it doesn't start with a "C". Can't wait until my CaymanS sells so I can pick up the '02 996tt.
Congrats on the Colts win Indy. I live in Maryland but hate the Ravens (I have to being a diehard Steeler fan). I was the biggest Manning fan today

With all do respect sir, the offer was intented for the Indy (in the post) area. I understand that you really want to run a 996/997tt. I can't help the fact that there aren't alot in the Flint area, however there a few c6z06 here in Indy. I don't really think that you can be upset that I don't want to drive around looking for z06's when they are right here.
