Blownsix fraud
Blownsix fraud
For those of you who want to buy anything from Blownsix from Canada, think again. I purchased wheels from them back in March 08 and paid them via Paypal through my credit card. I explained to them what I wanted and we agreed to a deadline. Deadline passed and I began to email them about it. They told me that since my wheels were a custom order, it was taking longer. I understood, however, weeks passed and I was getting impatient. I kept asking for assurances and they kept giving one reason after next for delay. Finally I decided to call them and after getting apology after next, I contacted paypal and began an investigation. To get the investigation to close they tried to send Paypal a tracking number with an order that never got shipped, but the clowns at Blownsix didn't realize that I had UPS open an investigation on the shipment to show they were lying to me and Paypal. They took all the money I gave them out of the Paypal account. Paypal found in my favor but couldn't get the money out since they took all the money from the account so I contacted the credit card company and they refunded me. I found out they never shipped the wheels as they promissed they did. They never had the wheels, never shipped the wheels and tried to take my money. I am trying to find a way to drag their *** in court in Canada, but more importantly inform others as to their deceptive ways. BUYER BEWARE OF THESE GUYS. I heard they were good, but I am finding more people who they scammed.
That is horrible news, nobody pikes it when some gets ripped off.
Please remember that not all Canadians are crooks. Blownsix is based just outside Toronto, Ontario, I am in Vancouver and I would go down and visit them and tell them that I bought the wheels from you, however it is a 4.5 hour plane ride.
I think that since your credit card refunded you, you don't have a claim.
Terrible business practices by Blownsix, too bad.

There was a similar post in the GT2 section a couple weeks ago about someone getting jacked by these a-holes. As a general rule of thumb I will look for another vendor before I make any sort of deal with BlownSix.

Neil makes a great point. My Paypal is linked to a checking account. That would not have afforded the protection you get with the ability to challenge a credit card charge. I'm going to change my payment method with Paypal before any future online purchases. Glad your difficulties ended well with recovery of your funds!
