New car from a dealer? If so, at least $12k off MSRP, and maybe closer to $13.5k.

09's are arriving soon, the 08 is the "old technology" and I am sure you can get a really good deal on a 08.

Yep...new. I am waiting on an initial response from the dealer on pricing. No idea how long it has been on the lot. I asked for the in-service date for the warranty hoping it would give me an idea of how long it has been there. I'll also ask for the build date.

New vs old tech....I want a 6sp and like the idea of "old" but proven technology....would be nice to have an integrated ipod solution like the BMW OEM solution though. I may be better off with a spec built 09 versus the discounted but bloated up 08....need to see.

Needless to say, don't expect much of a discount on an '09 so you have to weigh the cost vs. new technology.

Too many options on that car with a very high MSRP on a car facing huge depreciation.
For not much more you can get a used Turbo . I know one which is in impeccable condition because it was my friend's car that he leased but hardly had time to drive it . For a year it sat in his garage most of the time with a car cover . When he did drive it he pampered it and never modified it . He decided to return the lease and it's at a Porsche dealership in Northen California (Niello Porsche-the white Turbo -it's on their website) . I feel that the car has been extremely well cared for .

If you are ready to go 105 on a car why not go a bit higher into a used Turbo . . The Turbo will not face a refresh for 09 except a new PCM and in the price category which you are posting here my opinion it is high enough to reach for a well kept used Turbo.

The 08 has a 07/07 build date but the warranty has not started. If it can be done at 90k...maybe I do the deal. I need to see some pricing on an 09 with a shorter option list understanding also that is will be near MSRP. It may be a wash.

On the turbo side of things...90 is OK, 100 is a stretch, 120ish for a used turbo is definitely a stretch...heck of a nice car though....love the Carrara White/blk combo

The Aero kit is a $6-7K option and the car is nicely equipped, sport exhaust, etc. I think you could get the car out the door, tax/tag/title for around $95K.

You could save $12 to $15K OTD as compared with an 09. If thats worth it to you I'd say go for it. Nice car.

I've been pricing a lot of 08's recently and 10k is doable on a 93k car so you should be able to get off at least 12 on a 105k car.

Here's in Southern California a few dealers have offered 12% off MSRP on the 08's...so the one you're looking at should reasonably be sold for $91-92K.

Even dealer cost would be approx 13 percent on that 08 C2S . Cost would be 91K but since the 09 isn't oit they will want profit .

My guess would be 96.5 K .

In my opinion it's worth waiting for an 09 at that price. It's really that high . I mentioned the Turbo because dollar for dollar even though the Turbo costs more it won't depreciate as much as that highly optioned C2S .

Maybe you can find an 09 with a little less MSRP to increase the potential value in the purchase.

I am leaning toward a 09 or a protracted search for a turbo. I am still waiting on some numbers to come back. The other part of the equation is that I have a lightly used 08 M5 that I am thinking of trading. The market is soft all the way around...on one end it helps, the other is not so good. I think the only way this makes sense is a $90-92k deal with a above average auction price bid on my trade.

While I wait on the numbers, I put out feelers on another less optioned C2S with a sticker of $94.5k. Initial response is that $82k can be done....it is just not the right options with no sport seats and now being spoiled on the aerokit.
