I Got my Calipers Painted !!!!!!!!!

I have a 09 c2 and my car came with ugly faded black calipers. So I sent them away to Fast Forward Wheels and got them painted red. They look fantatistic. Fast Forward Wheels did a stunning job. With only 1 week turn around time. Especially Eli was very helpful and promptly responded to all my emails and phone calls throughout the whole process. Thanks again. Also, I asked for 2nd day air shipment but Eli upgraded for free to overnight express. Amazing customer service! The quality of paint job is amazing. I can't wait to put them on my car this Thursday. I'll post pics after. So anyone here thinking of refinishing their old calipers or contemplating on changing the color of the calipers, should definitely give them a call.

By the way, here is how my caliper looked before painting (FYI, this is not my picture, i go them off net. I never got around taking a pic of my stock caliper).

wow, they did a great job. Wonder if they can do it in 2 days or so. A weeks down time is kinda long leaving your car on jacks

Funny thing is that my wife thinks my car will stop better now LMAO. I knew my wife wouldn't approve me spending couple hundred bucks to paint my calipers, so I told my wife that it is purely for safety and more braking power. She took my words

Just curious as to why Porsche changed the caliper design? It looks like you can't change the pads without removing the caliper off the rotor.

Paint vs. Powder Coating

The calipers look great, however, I would suggest powder coating the calipers because its much more durable, can withstand higher braking temps without discoloration, and is also more resistant to chemicals such as wheel cleaners. Check out the GT3 RS 380mm PCCB Caliper we powder coated RS orange.

'Ugly faded black' on an 09? Some people might now think it's an 'S'.

Looks great

Looks great, congrats. I had mine done yellow and they came out amazing.... but if I had to do it again I would have gone with a unique color like Orange or baby blue or something out of the norm..... I liked yellow for tons of reasons and not ONE was because the ceramics come in yellow. But you still get the poser hater attempted grenades. The only reason for me regretting ever so slightly going yellow is the fact that the ceramics come in yellow.... how ironic. pic before I had the RUF wheels refinished in hyper silver black.

red with your white car will looks nice....

the problem with powder coating is that it traps in heat not unlike when you jet hot coat a set of headers. if you do any kind of track work or back road twisties, paint is the only option.

you will never find PC in any of the major brake manufacturers components.
