Pushing the envelope --a mod buying frenzy on my 997.2 PDk

The car goes into surgery later this week . The following is going on my car .

1) The FVD full exhaust system https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post2495360

2) Evomsit software .

3) Seat backs and console painted to exterior color (white)

4) Damtronics

5) 5MM spacers .

This is the first set of upgrades . More info to come as the project begins and my driving impressions when completed.

Go for it Larry!

I would suggest that you go a little bigger on the spacers. I have 15 mm in the rear of my car and tire sits flush to the fender. In the front I have 7 mm and feel that a 10-12 would look better.

Enjoy the mods!

Thanks guys . Northvan --even the 5mm is a big departure for me so I am going in baby steps.

Sharky -Thanks for posting the literature and I know I will enjoy the read .

JJ - I have mostly been driving it but that will soon change as my parking situation will become more crowded soon . I opted not to place the factory aerokit and chose the softer colors of white/terra with her in mind . Shes weighs 43 lbs less than me (110 vs 153) and shes an excellent driver . When we first got the car we did go on a drive together with both cars . I look forward to doing this more because we really had fun. With her 20 yo son in the M3 and his Gf in the Si (after he teaches her manual shifting) we could make this a family driving outing .

Ed -The visual difference is very nice. The way your car sat stock was much like mine (currently stock) where the wheel stance is less assertive . This led to some discussions but also took into consideration that when it comes to alignment and spacers I try to stick witrhin Porsche specs . So my first dip into the spacer pool is OEM which is 5mm . I can always change anything I want at any time . For instance on my Turbo I went through three exahusts and two suspensions until I finally was satisfied with it. where I begin with a car's project is not necessarily where it ends up once completed.

Larry, the car is going to be sweet! What made your finally decesion on the FVD full exhaust?

It will be interesting to see how the car reacts when the cats are changed and how the EvomsiT controls all this. My dealer and the PCNA rep told me if I touch the headers, cats and/or ECU the powertrain warranty is void. They said do anything after the cats is fine...ie mufflers or delete mufflers but touch the ECu cats/headers and the warranty is null and void.

The car has my name on the title. What matters to me that the car is at peak performance (where both I and my Gf can drive it) .

When it came to the FVD I had no doubts of its quality . It is a world class exhaust . I also have total confidence in Evoms . They have been stand up guys in my Turbo's project which has given me two years of incredible performance and reliable driving .

When it came right down to it .. .. these fly bys at 30-60 sec stood out ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTKchcvp8ps
