Carseat

What is the best type of carseat to put in the rear of my new (leftover) '08 911 Cab? If I don't find a way to get my Munchkin in this thing I'll never be able to convert her into an addict like me.

Depends how old your child is. Our daughter has been riding in the back of my cab since age 6 (she is now 8) Pretty snug fit back there, and she fits nicely without a car seat.

Tight fit indeed for car seats back there - Porsche sells one (made by Britax) that would make a good infant seat.

it was a thread not too long ago about this. recaro vivo is a quite nice one - look it up on amazon. it fits better with leather cushions removed, fits very tight between seatbelt receiver so you have to squeeze your fingers to put seatbelt in, but on other side seat itself does not have any play space.

Thanks, she's a toddler. Somwhere else I've seen a reference to recaro.

For a toddler, use a Britax Starriser... I had 2 of these in my 996 cab. To create additional space, I took the seat cushions out... worked like a charm!

For forward facing, check out the Britax Roundabout.

Note that they removed the base to make a better fit.

These cars have back seats? Where? Why?
