Porsche Sport Exhaust
I never would of ordered Sport Exhaust had I ordered my 4S new.....now I would never order one without it. So thankful whoever optioned out my car before I got her clicked that box. I turn it off and on ALL the time. It's awesome.
Agree, those are both points to consider.
a) Quiet/Loud - For me, the feature might be a nice to have in case I want to ever use it. However, I don't believe I'd want something quieter/stock sounding. I want mine to have more punch all the time. I don't think the Fabspeed components I mention are waaay too aggressive, though haven't heard one in person. Also FabSpeed offers Valvetronic, same concept as PSE though controls are not integrated like PSE.
b) My dealer said there would be no warranty issues on the rest of the car. Of course the aftermarket parts would not be covered by Porsche. Contact your dealer, see if you can get something in writing confirming no issue.

I think you're actually right regarding living with the sound all the time, had I built the car from the factory I'd gone with the PSE hands down, but now not having it I think fabspeed may be the better route if it's notably less costly than the PSE add on now.
PSE is also heavier. But if my car came with it, I wouldn't take it off. I went with DFister exhaust mod since my car didn't come with PSE.
My appointment is on Wednesday to get it installed.
Tom from Champion is correct.
Tubi weighs less, sounds great (I'm not going to say better, that's subjective), cost the same as PSE (Champion did it for $3400).
If you keep it less than 3k rpm, not loud at all.
My LAST choice would be PSE.
YMMV.

if it is a .1 there is connector in engine
bay at +/- 1p.m., disconnect and pse is on, always, i have had it so for 2 months/2000km, no issues, beautiful
Just did the Gundo Hack,,, less than 300dollars. It s really never too loud to need to shut it down. stock sounding on the highway. Well worth it to consider before spending thousands. My advise is to go hear one and then put the 3k into the bank.
This.
I'll take it depending on price. Send me a PM
Third in line... just replaced my rattling PSE with fternarket and would be interested in going back - PM price please
