quick poll on damptronics

sorry, i couldn't figure out how to do a poll. but I am thinking about installing some damptronics on my 07 C4S. as some of you know, on the turbo thread, someone had a catastrophic failure with 2 of their coilovers.
My question is, has anyone here had any problems?
1. does anyone hear a clicking sound when they turn the wheel hard to the left or right?

2. has anyone had any problems

3. how long have you had them on your car

The results of that thread seemed to indicate an installation error (failure to install with the required washer).

go to the last page,
he had the coilover on other side of the car fail, and he verified that the washer was there.....

I'm very skeptical of that thread. It would have been more credible if he used a different installer the second time around. Both he and the installer have motive to fabricate a story to try and build a case against Bilstein at the expense of us readers.

Enjoy your new suspension, but make sure the install goes right and the washer gets put in your presence. I still plan to install Bilsteins on my car in the future.

I have had a set of Bilstein damptronics, along with tubular sway bars & 12 new adjustable links/control arms for about 4K miles. No issues whatsoever.

Bilstein had proved through a proper failure analysis report that it was installer error and denied his warranty claim. It is beyond me why he hasn't used this bit of evidence from Bilstein and gone after (sued) the installer. He even stuck with the same installer the second time around. The conclusion I draw from this is that he must have some kind of relationship with the installer and can't sue him and wants Bilstein to pay for damages. Haha maybe I just watch too much TV drama.

I've installed countless PSS9 and PSS10 systems, both on damptronics and without and have yet to see any reason to steer clear of them. Parts can always fail, its true with everything, including your stock components. Bilstein isn't some upstart eBay special, they've been in the game as long as anyone - Don't let the boogy-man get the best of you and enjoy your new suspension. I'm a firm believer they are one of the best street-orientated suspensions available today.

I have Damptronics on my '07 C4S

Over 50 K on my sport-commute C4S with Damptronics

Damptronics were a fantastic upgrade - more connected feel, minimal body roll - different car.

Took 500-1000 miles for break-in, ride was somewhat "rough" until then.

Had car lowered, aligned and corner balanced with shock install by TC Design Fab.

You won't regret this upgrade.

I know the original poster and he's an honest stand up guy. He happens to live in a region where Porsches and tuners are not all that common .
If you read the thread you can see that most concluded that it was an installion issue but I would vouch for him and say that all he ever wanted was to have his car working properly.

I have them on both of my cars and an extremely happy .I can go in depth with how the car drives but I can say that the heavier AWD Turbo drives differently than the C2S so I would need to know if yoir car is AWD or not to better describe it. In the meantime I can show a few pictures .

Here's some of the ride height on the white car .
