leased car, no doubt
I knew a guy who leased a 997, only ever put regular fuel in it, put it through the machine washer and replaced the tires with the cheapest he could find. when I asked him he explained that he is going to turn it in anyways, so why spend alot of money on it.

It was a 40ish woman with her two kids in the car. It also looked like the front plate was off center. I almost said something but figured this little 5' / 90lb woman may not take kindly to my 6' 200lb *** telling her how stupid she is.

Nothing wrong to me. Never understood why folks treat these things as if they are sacred or even special. I think you are kidding yourself if you think otherwise. Designed to a budget, built in a factory, sold at a profit: Fords/Porsches/Ferraris -- they are all the same. And someday all will all be in the recycling center.
I run my F430 through the laser wash here sometimes. Quick and cleans it well. Never hurt my Aston in the three years I had it. Seems to me this owner has the correct perspective about his car. Keep it clean, enjoy it, but don't treat it like what it isn't.
Real cars can do carwashes.
