Got the recaro ProBooster today, dropped right in and my daughter loves it. Definitely seems like it was designed for the car! I trust it more than the Roundabouts that I couldn't get secure at the bottom.

I've been looking for a good seat for my 2 year old... Just moved from a 996 to a 997 cab, and I've read pretty much every thread related to this. The consensus seems to be "nothing really fits." Does anyone have experience with one they do like?
thanks
Stephen

The Harmony backless booster seat from Walmart works perfectly and the bottom is molded and smooth as opposed to some that are just plastic edges that could damage the car. Also, pull out the seat pad before you place the booster seat in the car. The seat pad is merely attached with velcro and is designed to pull out. That way the seat pad will still look brand new when you take the booster out or decide to sell. Check out posts 20 and 24 in this thread:

Best of all, instead of $250 to $300, it is $13.50 at Walmart!

The Recaro Probooster is only $129 shipped from Amazon, and it's a pretty good seat. I like that it has side impact protection and that there is a headrest for the kiddies if they get tired.

Yup, fits perfectly. Drops right in. Haven't tried it on a cab, but it is great in my coupe!

I just noticed your Recaro Probooster doesn't have it's own Harness, but using the seatbeslt instead. Maybe you are consider combine that with the rider vest like what my son uses.

This pro booster requires a child to be 37" tall..My 2 year old is more like 32" tall. she weighs around 30# I want good and safe solution, looks like she's probably about 7-8 mos from being able to use the recaro

Yeah, I would definitely not put a 2 year old in a belt positioning booster

Recaro Vivo does not fit in the rear seat of the new 991. I bought a Harmony for $20 and it works great. Fits all the way back and belt is perfect positions on my 4yo. Ordered a Recaro Vivo because I thought it would be great to have the extra side protection. Will not slide all the way to the back of the seat. The seat narrows so much that the Vivo is off the back of the seat by 2-3 inches. The new 991 rear seats mau have LATCH but they seem to be more narrow than the 997.

Radian R100 or R120 car seats for 997.2 cab?

Just bought a beautiful 2010 911S Cab. I have a 3-1/2 year old and a 5-year old and am trying to figure out which car seats to get for them. I think I want to go with a 5-point harness heavy-duty seat rather than a booster seat (like the Recaro Vivo) until they get older and bigger.

I hear that the Radian R100/R120 are the narrowest car seats available. Was wondering if anyone has had success with that seat in their 911? The other one I am considering, is the Recaro ProSport.

Appreciate any and all thoughts on this.

Thanks!

Gotta love 6speed, got it all covered. I actually bought my 911 as my ex convinced me we needed a back seat. At the time I was in Cayman price territory. Actually quite happy I went with the 911, the guys at work give Cayman drivers such a hard time. Most of them are engineers, so I hear "You drive your wife's car in today?" or "Hey, it's okay, you tired" They're pretty brutal.

I ended up getting the Diono Radian R100 seats and installed them tonight. They fit pretty well, although it's hard to get them really tightened down with just the seat belt. But so far so good.

Jdeg,

How wide is the back of the bottom part of the seat? I have a 991 and think the rear seat it a little more narrow than the 997.

Thanks

Marc
