What i dont understand is the following: Does it include both buttons for Sports and Sports Plus and of course the equivalent software, or just the sport button?

In other words, do we get the sports plus option with the launch control, the very agressive shifting, etc etc?

This oem modification actually makes it very easy for me since it allows me to search for even plain Carreras which i can add the Sports Plus after...

 

My understanding is that it only remaps the throttle settings - It will not add launch control to your PDK unless so equipped previously

I say yes for S+ and LC on PDK, based on that link.

 

I had it added and it included both the sport and sport+ buttons, and the software to activate them. I actually received ( the dealer) a new switch panel insert with all of the old and new buttons installed. The dealer gave me the old switch panel after the installation.

If you have it done, you will have the improvements of both sport mode and launch control with sport+. If you have a PDK you will be blown away!

As many noted especially for the pdk cars these should be standard equipment.

The price is not bad either, but then again labor can be! Lol

 

The labor shouldn't be bad, it's a half-hour installation/programming, not too bad. PDK cars will get launch control.

 

Are there any Porsche dealerships in Southern Cali who are willing or capable of performing this upgrade? I tried dealing with a service writer @ Beverly Hills with the detailed instructions and a link to Suncoast's sport ugrade software, but to no avail. I had left messages and he just ignored all my calls.

I would like to purchase this item, but I'm afraid no one will install it for me. I NEED HELP!!

I had the retrofit installed and it makes a world of difference in the cars performance, use sport mode almost all the time. But today for the first I tried out launch control, selected sport plus mode the engine reved to about 6500 RPM's but the launch control indicator never illuminated. Has anyone with the retrofit experinced the same indications. I going to consult with the dealer.

 

Give it a sec. Most people lift off the brake too quick to let the LC light come on and chime. You can hold it and the engine will just hit the limiter till you are ready to launch.
