Switching 4 Wheels at Once

guys,
If I jack each wheel up and put cinder blocks with a piece of wood on top of each block, lower, and move to next wheel, can I effectively take all 4 wheels off at once? Is there a risk to doing this on my 997 c2S? Otherwise I have to bring a a shop to switch the wheels? I have a good jack and a torque wrench and have removed one at a time.
thanks,
Marc

If you jack at the rear Jack point you can lift the entire side of the car. Why do you need all 4 wheels off the ground to change wheels?

was going to have tires switched, but don't want to leave car...would rather just leaved wheels. Also, I like torquing myself...feel better when going 125mph.

I see, I would suggest jack stands over blocks.

If it were me, I would just leave my car with them, but to each there own.

I would use jack stands rather than blocks and you should be fine

I was wondering about this too but been too embarrassed to ask my related, really stupid question. If I jack by the jack point, where do I put the jack stands? Never worried about thsi with other cars but am a bit more cautious with this one.

Agree about the jack stands. Here's a link that explains how one owner does it:

The method that Taxi! set a link for is fool proof. I've followed this 6-8 times. Works like a champ.
