Value of 06' Carrera S NEED HELP ASAP
I found a 2006 Black on Black Carrera S with sport Chrono. I am not quite sure what is standard or optional but it appears to be a very basic car. It has a sunroof, no navigation, no bluetooth. The car is a one owner car out of warranty at an Audi dealer. It has 7400 miles on it and is in showroom condition. Whats a fair price for the car? Dealer is asking 55988? Any issues I should look for?
I found it on auto trader based on the descripion and it looks very nice . Carfax appears like it was bought and serviced regularly by one owner at the same dealership . That's good. It was purchased in late 05 (as an 06 model) and generally the 05 cars did have a higher incidence of IMS and RMS concerns but even this may not be an issue . I do suggest a Dme scan and a PPI .
I like the way the car sounds and feel its priced nicely . Any Porsche 911 in the 45-55K range attracts a lot of shoppers and if you can actually find one that's decent it's great .
If the inspections check out good --49-51.5K ought to be a good range price on a low mile car like this with no warranty left.

i doubt they drop it by over 10%. Great, low mile car in perfect conditition is tough to come by...my local dealer is having problems finding enough cars to buy and put on their lot...if its the perfect car for you try to get 2-3k off and do the deal
Agree with the opinions above - this seems like a very fair asking price. I'd negotiate a few grand off if possible and get it. With only 7400 miles, it's practically new!
I bought my '05 C2S from a private seller right after the car ran out of warranty and have not had any issues other than routine maintenence.

Don't worry about options
If you have the chronos option you are good. The sport button definitely adds some zip. The stock radio is not very good so if you want navigation, bluetooth, ipod etc. you will have to do that aftermarket for about $2000 for touchscreen system. See threads regarding installing Kenwood and Pioneer double din head units for details.
The price is not bad for that kind of mileage. $1-2k less would be better ;-)
I paid $54K for an 06 Carrera S with 16K miles 18 months ago.
Good luck!

I am not quite sure what the car has but the dealer is willing to let it go for 54500 with a very high trade in on my E90 M3. I put a deposit on the car and am in the process of parting out my M3. Wondering if I am making the right decision.
