997.1 C2S converted to turbo bumper
997.1 C2S converted to turbo bumper
Guys, I recently gave my 08 C2S a face lift and put on a turbo bumper with gt3 hood vent and led's. I purchased everything from the dealer:
LED's
Fog light
Wiring harness
Blinker module
Everything was plug and play. the park lights work but the LED's don't. Am I missing something here? I would appreciate any feed back.
PS
I did a search for my situation but couldn't really find an answer.

That looks bad ***. I plan to do the same thing and will let you know if I find a solution. My electonics guy thought it could be done with resistors but I haven't tried it yet. Your setup looks great though!

Btw, which body shop did you use for infilling the tails? I live in Costa Mesa.
Thanks in advance
Really sweet. I've wondered why no one has done this conversion. From what I've heard from others, this is not a plug and play conversion even with the modules. THe wiring has to be modified and it is not straightforward. Anxious to hear if you get results, but that is what I know from someone else that did a basic 997.2 front end. I've not seen a turbo front bumper offered. Can you add where you got it and how much it was?
Thanks guys. Just like the other guys here who thought it was going to be a simple mod...turns out to be way more $$ than I thought. Here is the breakdown on parts / labor.
Bumper cover, fog lights, led lights, air vents (3 pcs), fender liners, GT 3 hood vent, blinker module, wiring harness and the latest part ( not in yet ) control module. came to a total of around $3300. For Carrera owners, you can still use your original air flow ducts, I ordered the turbo air ducts just incase but they seem to be smaller but luckily I was still able to use my original ones. That saved me $220!
The panel behind the center grill had to painted black, since I have no third radiator. Painted the bumper (orange peel to be oem) smoked the led blinkers, smoke my rear tails and my body shop charged my 1K flat.
The name of the body shop is Bell's Auto Body in huntington Beach they do all high-end cars, you name it they have done it, they are also porsche certified just incase you are wondering.
I will take more pics and be sure to share this experience with you guys!
